Volunteer opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at
Impact For Life Campus!

All volunteer positions aid Impact for Life Campus in fulfilling its mission of providing assistance to those in crisis with the goal of moving them to self sufficiency.


The process of becoming a volunteer includes the following steps:

  • Fill out the volunteer application click here to download application
  • Attend a volunteer orientation which will include a brief overview of the organization, a tour as well as service opportunities and needs.
  • A scheduled interview with a Impact for Life Campus staff member will be arranged to complete the process.
                                                                                                                                             Volunteer Orientations are held the first and third Monday of the month from 5:30PM to 6:15PM. Please call or e-mail to register for the next volunteer orientation at 281-855-0014 x-5749 or volunteer@impactforlifecampus.org. To volunteer you must be at least 16 years of age.

Listed below are specific areas of need:

Client Services:
Volunteers are needed to work directly with the clients in person and on the phone. Computer knowledge and the ability to work in a fast paced area are required for this position.

Dates and Times:

  • Monday - Thursday 9:00 am-12:00 noon and 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm
  • Monday evening - 5:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Friday 9:00 am to 11:30 am

Employment/Education Center:
Volunteers are needed in this area of the ministry to mentor our clients through the job search process. The requirements include computer literacy, recent work experience; resume writing skills a plus, and the desire to work with people.

Dates and Times:

  • Monday - Thursday 9:00 am-12:00 noon and 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm
  • Monday evening - 5:00pm - 7:00pm


Volunteers are needed to teach basic computer classes; skills required are knowledge of MS Office and previous classroom instruction experience. English as a Second Language (ESL) volunteer teachers are also needed; skills required are proficiency in English and previous teaching experience.

Food Pantry:
Volunteer drivers are needed to pick up food items at area grocery store. Volunteers need to have own transportation.


Date and Times:

  • Drivers are needed Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-finished (approximately 1 ½ hours)


Volunteers are needed to assist in the Pantry with receiving food donations, sorting and stocking food items and preparing food boxes that are distributed daily. Position involves walking, standing and some lifting.

Dates and Times:

  • Monday - Thursday 9:00 am-12:00 noon and 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm
  • Monday evening - 5:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Friday 9:00 am to 11:30 am


Thrift Shop:
Volunteers are needed to price donated items. Position requires working well with others in a busy environment. Training will be provided.

Dates and Times:

  • Monday - Friday 9am-6pm (hours flexible)
  • Saturday 9am-5pm (hours flexible)
